Port Blair, Sept. 27: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators celebrated World Tourism Day on 27th  September. To mark the day, team AATO conducted a beach cleaning drive at Veer Savarkar Park, Chouldari.

Tourism is the most prominent industry in Andaman and provides employment to a large number of Islanders.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: To assess the ground reality of the functioning of JNRM Boy’s hostel, a NSUI delegation made a visit to the premises to experience the problems and also to find a suitable immediate solution.

The delegation visited the hostel following the direction of PCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and guidance of PCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. G. Bhasker. The delegation was led by State President Mr. M.A Sajid accompanied by NSUI State General Secretary Mr. Vishal Din, NSUI Active Member Mr. Arbindo Mridha and other leaders.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: With the results of the Union Public Service Commission - Civil Services Examination 2020 declared, Islanders have one thing to be proud of. Shri P. Sabeel son of Shri P. Abdul Samad, resident of Phoenix Bay has triumphed the examination with AIR 470.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: The Directorate in consultation with the District Administration has scheduled the sailing programme of the vessel MV Coral Queen for Diglipur via Mayabunder on 29.09.2021. As per the schedule the vessel will sail for Diglipur via Mayabunder on 29.09.2021 (Wed) at 2100 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Port Blair on 30.09.2021 at 1500 Hrs from Diglipur via Mayabunder.
