Port Blair, Oct. 22: The counselling schedule for the integrated courses for the academic session 2020-21 in Tagore College of Education has been finalised as per the schedule given under. However due to the present conditions under COVID-19 pandemic, the candidates from inter islands whose names have been selected for counselling might not be able to reach Port Blair due to various constraints. In such cases, the candidates should inform the same over telephone/whatsapp in any of these numbers 9434282037/9434280223/241345 well in advance before the counselling, so that their claim for admission can be protected, failing which next eligible candidate will be considered for admission.

Port Blair, Oct. 22: The ex- Adhyaksha , ZP SA, Miss V. K. Mariyam Bibi has taken up the following issues relating to general public of Ferrargunj Tehsil with the DSS. Mariyam has requested for increase in the frequency of ferry services between Bambooflat and Chatham. To permit four-wheeler if the vehicle ferry has vacant space without any restrictions to the timing. To extend the last boat timing to 9.00 pm instead of 8.00 pm, from Bambooflat to Marine via Chatham. To start the boat services at 5.30 am instead of 6.00 am from Bambooflat to Chatham.

Port Blair, Oct. 22: On 13-10-2020, a dead body of male has been found on the back side of bus stand near Old Ayush Hospital, Port Blair who was later identified as Devanand S/o Shri. Ledga Age – 50 Yrs. R/o Burma Nallah. On this a UDFIR No.57/2020 dated 13.10.2020 U/S 174 Cr.P.C. has been registered at Police Station Aberdeen. His descriptive rolls is as follows: Height – 5 feet 6 inch, Hair – Black, Complexion – shallow, Body – Thin, Identification marks – a black mole on the right side of stomach. He was wearing white color full sleeves shirt and light pink color half pant.
