Port Blair, April 22: In order to spread Road Safety awareness among the college students, a road safety awareness programme was conducted on 21.04.2022 at ANCOL by A&N Traffic Police. The College Principal, faculties and about 300 students participated in the programme. While addressing the students, Shri. Abhishek Gupta, DANIPS, Dy. SP (Traffic) expressed serious concern over the rising cases of Drunken Driving in the city. He also emphasized the ill effects of Drunken Driving and its financial and psychological effects on the entire family in the event of a major accident and appealed to obey traffic rules.

Port Blair, April 22: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Kala Kendra – A&N Islands Society for Promotion of Art & Culture under Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration organized a Drawing Competition on the theme Heritage of Islands. Children of age group 11-16 years were encouraged to know about Heritage of Islands and explore their creative instinct.

Port Blair, April 22: The Apprentices Act, 1961 was enacted with an objective to provide training to the apprentices in the industry by utilizing the facilities available therein. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), GoI is the administrative ministry responsible for the implementation of the Act for skill-based trade apprenticeship with the assistance of State/UT Governments.
