Port Blair, Dec. 1: Andaman and Nicobar Regional Centre, Anthropological Survey of India (AnSI), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Port Blair celebrated its Foundation Day today 1st December 2022. The celebration began with lighting the traditional lamp by Shri, M E Jadwet, a renowned personality of the Jadwet family of Nicobar Islands. In this august gathering, Shri S Ramakrishnan, Assistant Director, India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Port Blair was the Guest of Honour and Ebrahim Jadwet, a family member of Jadwet family, Port Blair was the special guest.

Car Nicobar, Dec.1: The Mission Director, UTHM, A&N Administration, Dr. Anil Agarwal along with Joint Mission Director, Dr. Suja Anthony during their two-day visit to Car Nicobar held a meeting with the Chairman Tribal Council and other Tribal Leaders in the presence of Deputy Commissioner (N), Assistant Commissioner (HQ), Medical Superintendent, BJR Hospital to discuss health care need of the Tribal Population in Nicobar District.

Port Blair, Dec.1: Along with rest of the world, every year, the Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration in association with ANIIMS observed ‘World Antimicrobial Resistance’ (AMR) Week from Nov.18 to 24, 2022 with the theme ‘Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance Together & Antimicrobials: Handle with Care’ in A& N Islands to create awareness about the threat of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and steps for its containment.
