Port Blair, May 31: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief General Manager of BSNL, A&N Telecom Circle to install free Wi-Fi hotspots in 70 panchayats of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, along with 24 wards of Port Blair city and seven Tribal councils under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as excess bandwidth is available with BSNL.

Port Blair, May 31: It is informed to the general public that an old lady namely Gomati Gidhni W/o Shri Sukhnath Gidhni (71yrs) R/o Guptapara, South Andaman, Andaman and Nicobar Islands is missing since 20/05/2023 from Line Dera Manjery Jungle, Guptapara, South Andaman. In this regard, a missing complaint has been registered at PS Humfrygunj. The details of the missing old lady is given below:

Port Blair, May 31: It is informed to the general public that on 24/05/2023, a Murder case was registered at PS Pahargaon vide FIR No. 88/23 dated 24/05/2023 U/s 302 IPC wherein Swapan Kumar Mondal R/o Garacharma was murdered and investigation of the instant case is under progress. During the course of investigation, the name of the deceased was identified to be Swapan Kumar Mondal S/o Tarapada Mondal (40) yrs Pvt Worker R/o Garacharma from the office records. However, the details of deceased’s family members or friends could not be traced till date. The dead body of the deceased is preserved for identification and claim in the cold Mortuary room of GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair. Description of the deceased body is as follows:

Port Blair, May 31: The All India Chess Federation (AICF) will be organizing the 49th National Women Chess Championship-2023 from 30.06.2023 to 10.07.2023 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Each Affiliated State Association is entitled to send four entries for the Championship.
