In this regard, all the candidates have been informed that the closing date i.e. 07.07.2024 for application has been extended for another 30 days w.e.f. 08.07.2024 to 06.08.2024.

Port Blair, July 8: The passengers/general public have been informed that the vessel Sindhu will sail for Mayabunder on July 10, 2024 at 0600 hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Port Blair on the same day at 1300 hrs from Mayabunder. Passenger tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from July 9, 2024 onwards. Passengers may book their tickets from DSS e-ticketing portal (https://dss.andaman.gov.in/eticketing) and from STARS Ticketing Counter from 9 am to 4 pm.

The Administration's ambitious goal of achieving Zero Waste Islands necessitates a comprehensive approach towards managing solid waste, with a focus on effective segregation and recycling.

Port Blair, July 8: Firing practice will be carried out by Coast Guard at Chinthe Long Range, Brichgunj on July 10 & 24 from 9.30 am to 5 pm. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their vehicles and livestock away from the firing area during mentioned date and time.

Port Blair, July 7: The Chairman of Congress Campaign Committee Mr. TSG Bhasker has expressed his deep concern over the illegal disposal of plastic and non-biodegradable waste in Andaman & Nicobar Islands by few officers of PBMC, which is having a detrimental impact on the environment and causing pollution.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change on Thursday, Mr. Bhasker highlighted the way in which plastic waste amounting to approximately 1 lakh ton have been camouflaged in the Municipal Dump Yard, Brookshabad and covered in earth.
