Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency attended the 2 day National Workshop (Chintan Shivir) on “Tourism in Mission Mode” chaired by Hon’ble Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India,  Shri G Kishan Reddy today at New Delhi and highlighted the multiple investment opportunities available through Public Private Partnership in various mega #Tourism #Hospitality projects being implemented in A&N Islands under the aegis of Islands Development Agency.

Knowing all the positive aspects of yoga, the Ministry of Education through NCERT is taking multi-dimensional initiative to promote Yoga in curriculum and transaction in schools. Under the theme of ‘Yoga for Health and Harmony’, the Samagra Shiksha UT Mission Authority has conducted the Yoga Olympiad competitions at various stages viz. School, Cluster, Block and UT level.

He vehemently raised the issue of granting of 1/30th pay to all existing DRMs, Muster Roll workers etc. working in all the Government Departments under the A&N Administration.

He pointed out that the issue regarding constitution of a high-level committee for regularization of all the DRMs of APWD be constituted at the earliest considering the long pendency of this genuine issue.

Rains are not expected any time soon. Water is a precious natural resource and cannot be wasted. People have been advised to use water carefully and avoid any type of wastage of water. Overflow of storage tanks should be avoided at all costs.
