Port Blair, March 28: CITU Andaman and Nicobar State Committee welcomes the decision of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration to enhance the pay and leave benefits of Part-time employees working under the Education Department. Pay of Part-time Pre-Primary Teachers, Part-time Craft Instructors, Part-time Pre-primary Ayah/Safai karmachari and Part-time Attendants have been enhanced.

Port Blair, March 28: Yoga is important for our mental wellness as well as physical health. Knowing all the positive aspects of yoga, the Ministry of Education through NCERT is taking multi-dimensional initiative to promote Yoga in curriculum and transaction in schools. Under the theme of ‘Yoga for Health and Harmony’, the Samagra Shiksha UT Mission Authority has conducted the Yoga Olympiad competitions at various stages viz. School, Cluster, Block and UT level.

Port Blair, March 28: Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI called upon the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration on 27th March 2023 and raised the following issues:
He vehemently raised the issue of granting of 1/30th pay to all existing DRMs, Muster Roll workers etc. working in all the Government Departments under the A&N Administration.
He pointed out that the issue regarding constitution of a high-level committee for regularization of all the DRMs of APWD be constituted at the earliest considering the long pendency of this genuine issue.

Port Blair, March 28: PBMC supplies drinking water to municipal areas. Due to poor monsoon and excessive heat there is acute shortage of water supply from PWD to PBMC. Rains are not expected any time soon. Water is a precious natural resource and cannot be wasted. People have been advised to use water carefully and avoid any type of wastage of water. Overflow of storage tanks should be avoided at all costs.
