The Observers play a very important role in conducting free and fair election.

Port Blair, April 12: All concerned have been informed that the Election Commission of India has notified the period between 7 am on 19th April, 2024 (Friday) and 6.30 pm on 1st June, 2024 (Saturday) as the period during which conducting and publishing or publicising exit poll by means of the print or electronic media or dissemination in manner whatsoever, the result of any exit in connection with the General Elections-2024, shall be prohibited.

ECI issues instructions to regulate road shows to avoid any inconvenience to general public/commuters
Port Blair, April 12: With the announcement of General Elections-2024 by the Election Commission of India on 16/03/2024, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force with immediate effect.
In this regard, the Election Commission of India has issued the following instructions to regulate road shows to avoid any inconvenience to the general public/commuters during road shows which is detailed as under :-
-Prior permission for road shows shall be taken from the Competent Authority.
