Port Blair, April 12: The Secretary, PBMC along with Superintending Engineer, PBMC & officials visited the Ward No. 09 & 14. During the visit, a demand for construction of Toilets with washroom at PBMC’s Junglighat Shopping Complex was raised by Ward Councillor of Ward No. 09. The Ward Councillor also requested to provide an adequate size of Culvert at Fisherman Road near Ram Mandir Jn. leading to Tirupati Temple. TO this the Secretary, PBMC gave instant direction to construct the culvert and also asked to provide the Toilets with Washrooms at the Ground Floor Office, Junglighat Shopping Complex.

Port Blair, April 12: The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell, JNRM in association with the Gram Panchayat Tushnabad and Surbhi (NGO), Caddle Gunj organised a three days training programme on Floriculture, Mushroom Cultivation and Vermi Composting in Tushnabad Panchayat Hall for the women from 11th to 13th April 2022. The programme was inaugurated by Shri.Rajender Lal, BDO & Executive Magistrate, Ferrargunj as the chief guest on the occasion.

Port Blair, April 12: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,12,399 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,397 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 10,643 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 14,376.

Port Blair, April 12: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 269 incoming flight passengers yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 9 flights with 1381 passengers arrived, out of which, 1214 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 132 passengers and the reports are awaited.
