Port Blair, July 12: A rugby team from Andaman & Nicobar Islands participated in Senior National Rugby Sevens Championship 2022 for Men & Women which was held at Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna, Bihar from 9th June to 12th June 2022, organized by Indian Rugby Football Union. Two players from Port Blair, Mr. A. P. Wajid Ali and Mr. N. Mohammed Shamim were selected in men's team. They took part in this tournament and played 3 matches.

Port Blair, July 12: Acting on a specific information received from reliable source, one youth Suresh Kumar, S/o M. Anand, 25 Yrs, R/o Near Mini Stadium, Dollygunj was arrested by PS Central Crime Station with 275 gms of Ganja on 12/07/2022. The ganja was clandestinely concealed inside a footwear pair parcel sent from West Bengal. The accused was intercepted soon after he received contraband parcel from a courier service situated at Gurudwara Lane.

24,652 Beneficiaries in the Age Group of 12 to 14 Years administered both doses of vaccine
Port Blair, July 12: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,84,157 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,596 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 24,652 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 28,300.
