Mohan Rao, age about 68 years (Retired Assistant Clerk, CIARI) R/o Japan Nallah Bathu Basti Father of Smt. D. Radhika, Councillor Ward No. 23 who passed away today. In his message Shri Jolly prayed to the Almighty to give peace to his eternal soul departed for heavenly abode and give strength to his bereaved family member to bear this irreparable loss.

MV Chowra will sail for Nancowry via Car Nicobar, Chowra, Teressa & Katchal on 08.06.2022 (Wed) at 0900 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 11.06.2022 (Sat) 0500 Hrs from Nancowry via same route.

Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 08.06.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.

MV Campbell Bay will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 10.06.2022 (Fri) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 11.06.2022 (Sat) at 1700 Hrs directly from Campbell Bay.

Port Blair, June 6: The Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation, GoI, General (Dr.) V K Singh (Retd.) held a meeting with the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Jitendra Narain at Secretariat on 06.06.2022. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding holistic development of A&N Islands, making Andaman as the growth center of South East Asian Countries and transforming A&N Islands as global destination. The Chief Secretary, through a power point presentation briefed about A&N Islands Vision 2047, progress on Civil Aviation projects, ATR and the two bridges.

Urges to create mass awareness about social welfare & social security schemes of GoI

Port Blair, June 6: The vision and goal of the Central Government under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi is to help the poor people of the country & uplift their living conditions. The welfare schemes devised by the Central Government aims at uplifting the socio-economic status of the last mile beneficiaries by bringing them under the fold of such welfare & social security schemes, said the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation GoI, General (Dr.) V K Singh (Retd.), while interacting with the beneficiaries of the social welfare schemes at DBRAIT auditorium here today.

Port Blair, June 6: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of A&N Administration to send a team of officials of Civil Supply Department to Little Andaman at least for 10 days for conducting special camps, for correction of details in AADHAAR card.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary he pointed out that due to lack of any facility at Little Andaman Island for correction of details in AADHAAR card, many Islanders are facing several problems in day to day life.
