Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 2: Branch MSME-Development & Facilitation Office (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India), Sri Vijaya Puram in coordination with Andaman & Nicobar Administration organized an ‘Awareness Programme on PM Vishwakarma Scheme’ at SVPMC Community Hall, Dairy Farm, Sri Vijaya Puram recently for Prospective/Existing PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries & Traditional artisans and Craftspeople of 18 Trades covered under the PM Vishwakarma scheme. More than 140 women potential PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries from the 18 trades of PM Vishwakarma scheme participated in the programme.

Rangat, Feb. 2: Nehru Yuva Kendra Rangat in collaboration with Desh Bondhu Youth Club & Netaji Yuba Samiti Billiground organized Block Level Sports with the theme of ‘Swasth Rashtra - Samradh Rashtra’ yesterday at Billiground playground. The main objective of this programme was to spread awareness about physical fitness and mental health through sports activities. Shri Manojit Halder, Pradhan, Harinagar Gram Panchayat, was the chief guest while shri Shankar Mondal, Zilla Parisad Member was the guest of honor. Shri Dilip Kumar Das, Zilla Parishad Member was also present on the occasion.

Rangat, Feb. 1: In a concerted effort to promote environmental conservation and sustainable tourism, the Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman, organized a beach cleanup drive this morning at Dhaninallah Beach, Padmanabhapuram village, Rangat. The initiative driven by his leadership, witnessed enthusiastic participation from government officials, local representatives, and community members.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 2: As part of its ongoing efforts to foster environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices, the Andaman & Nicobar Pollution Control Committee (ANPCC), Department of Science & Technology (DST), organized an impactful awareness program recently. The sessions, focused on waste management, climate change, and the dangers of single-use plastics, aimed to promote environmental sustainability among the local community.

Swadesh Nagar, Feb. 1: The Annual Athletic Meet of PM SHRI Govt. Senior Secondary School Swadesh Nagar, N&M Andaman was held yesterday. The Meet was declared open by Dr. Damodaran, Senior Scientist, KVK, Nimbudera. The meet torch was lit by the chief guest. Earlier, in his welcome address, Shri. Saleem Kerketta, Vice-Principal highlighted the events of the academic year.  Shri Deborata Das, Pradhan Gram Panchayat, Swadesh Nagar was the chief guest of the closing ceremony and gave away the prizes to the winners. In his address, the chief guest stressed the importance of games and sports. At the concluding session, the students presented a brief cultural programme and theme based drills and aerobics.
