Port Blair, May 31: As part of its continuous endeavour to propagate and preserve the Indian Classical Dance, a five days’ workshop on Bharatanatyam was conducted from 27th -31st May 2022 at Andaman Club, Port Blair under the aegis of South Zone Cultural Centre (SZCC), Government of India, Thanjavur in collaboration with the Kala Kendra – A&N Islands Society for Promotion of Art & Culture, Department of Art and Culture.

Port Blair, May 31: The week-long All India Protest against Price Rise and Unemployment jointly by five Left Parties in the country from 25th May 2002 has come to an end today. In Andaman & Nicobar Islands, CPI (M) has organized public meetings, corner meetings, mike announcements, etc. at Port Blair and outstations.  CPI (M) has organized a public meeting at Tiranga Park, Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair today (31.05.2022) which was attended by a large number of Party workers and sympathizers.  

Port Blair, May 31: District Child Protection Unit (SA) in collaboration with Science Centre took an initiative to provide a platform for the children of Child Care Institutions to participate in the One Month Summer Holiday Camp at Science Centre. Around 20 children from various Child Care Institutions actively participated in Eight Trades such as Aero Modeling, Creative Science, Fun Chemistry, Astronomy, Robotic Science, Model Rocketry, Electronic Model and Fun Biology. With this venture children of Child Care Institutions were able to participate in all the trades and received prizes and appreciation on 30th May 2022 during valedictory function.

Port Blair, May 31: The Bhartiya Janta Party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be celebrating the 8 Years of Seva, Sushasan and Gareeb Kalyan program to mark the completion of eight years of forming a government at the centre. Service, welfare of the poor and good governance have been the primary focus during the Prime Minister Modi led Government in these islands. This will be a 15-day outreach program, which will be held till 15th June 2022, during which various events will be held from Diglipur to Campbell Bay.
