Port Blair, May 30: A team of Senior Party Leaders under the leadership of Shri. Rangalal Halder, President, Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee attended the Public Hearing of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JREC) held at Marine Hall Port Blair. During the hearing, Halder raised his concern and narrated the hardship and the consequences of the proposed power tariff hike as suggested by the Electricity Department, A&N Islands. If made applicable it will badly affect every citizen of the islands.

Port Blair, May 30: As a part of celebration of 8th International Yoga day, Ayush Unit of CHC Diglipur organised a yoga session for the family and staff of Coast Guard at their Diglipur based District Headquarter on 30.5.22. A lecture on "Yoga and its benefits" was delivered by Dr Shipra Mistry MO Ayurveda at CHC Diglipur.

Port Blair, May 30: The Consumer Cooperative Stores Ltd (CCS) has added 02 brand new LPG Cargo Trucks to its fleet of vehicles for Door to Door delivery of LPG cylinders in the Port Blair sub-urbans. The Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma today flagged-off the vehicles at 4.30Pm and dedicate the same for public welfare. Each of the vehicle has 324 LPG cylinder capacity and shall prove mettle in improving the LPG delivery services across the Port Blair region.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Only one Earth”.  World Environment Day has always been a day of special importance to India.  The day is celebrated as dedication of national efforts for sustainable development and mainstreaming environmental concern in the national developmental agenda. As a part of celebration of the World Environment Day, 2022 the Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair is organizing an online painting competition (Posters/Paintings/Drawing).
