Port Blair, Sept. 12: Recently a delegation of Bharatiya Janta Party, A & N Islands led by Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari, State Secretary and Convener Training Cell along with Shri Om Prakash Singh, Senior leader of BJP and Shakthi Kendra, Pramukh and Shri Dipankar Mystry, Ex- Zilla Parishad Ahyaksh, North & Middle Andaman met the Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur, Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS and discussed regarding the long standing demands of the general public of the Diglipur region. The delegation highlighted their grievance before the Assistant Commissioner and emphasized that the burning issues were pending for a long time which needs to be redressed.

Port Blair, Sept. 12:  The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 3,87,285 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2, 81, 603 (approx.). A total of 3500 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands. A total of 1,58,617 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.

Demand: To replace the power generator set of PHC which remains under repair since 3 years

Port Blair, July 30: During the times of ongoing pandemic crisis, when the states and UTs of our nation are doing their best to provide better health care and facilities to the citizens, it is shocking to note that the residents of Tushnabad and nearby panchayats have been pleading for a basic ‘generator set’ for the Primary Health Centre. It is learnt that the Primary Health Centre, Tushnabad has been functioning without a generator set since the last three years, with no authority to even consider the genuine plea of the residents.
