Port Blair, June 26: The passengers/general public have been informed that due to administrative reasons, the vessel MV Sindhu will sail for Little Andaman on June 29 at 2100 hrs instead of June 29 at 0900 hrs. Similarly, MV Sindhu will sail back to Port Blair on June 30 at 0900 hrs from Little Andaman instead of June 29 at 2100 hrs.

Port Blair, June 26: In view of the frequency of applications received on daily basis and for the interest of the candidates from inter-island and rural areas, the last date for submission of online application for admission to 2 year D.El.Ed course at DIET, Garacharma for the academic session 2023-24 has been extended up to June 30, 2023, Hence, the candidates can apply online by logging into http://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in.  The last date for submission of online application is June 30 upto 5 pm. Scrutiny of application forms will be done from June 30 to July 5. The Provisional Merit list will be published on July 6 at 10 am.

The Govt. under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Modi has brought umpteen number of welfare oriented schemes for the benefit and to uplift the socio economic status of the common man, said the Hon’ble Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Ramdas Athawale here today.  The Hon’ble Minister said that A&N Islands is a strategically located place and it is also known for its freedom struggle history. He informed that he had reviewed various schemes of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment being implemented in the Islands. He stated that the support of the Central Govt. will always be there to resolve any issues in the implementation of schemes.
