Port Blair, April 30: A COVID -19 awareness drive was conducted at Mohanpura STS Bus stand and Mohanpura market by the members of REVIVE. During the drive, details about COVID-19 appropriate behavior such as washing hands, importance of wearing masks and social distancing was explained to the general public. The members also motivated people to get vaccinated. Apart from the REVIVE team, Police personnel who joined the drive also provided information regarding COVID protocols.

Port Blair, April 30: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands organised a Blood Donation Camp on 27th April 2021 as part of #BJYMCares Seva Hi Sanghathan Abhiyan - 2 at G.B Pant Hospital.

The blood donation camp was organised keeping in view that the vaccination for 18+ is soon starting in our country and after vaccination one can only donate blood after 28 days as per protocol.

Port Blair, April 30: The NGO ‘Hindu Rashtra Shakti’ of Bakultala Team, Middle Andaman has started distributing Cloth Face Mask on 29th April 2021 as a fight against COVID-19. They have distributed more than 150 Cloth Face Masks at Bakultala. Many people appreciated the volunteer service of Shri K.Malaiswamy, Shrii Anil Bepari, Smti A.Selvi, Shri Keshab Kabiraj and Miss Prabhabati Biswas.

Port Blair, April 29: Secretary, IP&T, Shri Sunil Kumar Singh today reiterated to strictly follow COVID appropriate behaviour viz. wearing of face mask and maintaining social distancing to protect themselves, their family members and the society as well from the deadly corona virus. While briefing the media persons in the conference hall of IP&T about the COVID situation in these Islands, he informed that 5 flights with 459 passengers arrived in Port Blair today. Out of this, 9 passengers were tested corona positive.
