Port Blair, Jan 13: A 26 year old lady, a resident of Makka Pahad was reported missing by her husband on 05/01/2021. On 06/01/2021 her body was found in a pit near coconut plantation at Makka Pahad. As there were injuries on her body, a case of murder was registered at PS Pahargaon and investigations taken up.

Port Blair, Jan 13: More than fifty turtles were found dead in in the North Andaman District on Sunday 10th Jan 2021. The dead turtles were washed away in the shores on a decaying condition and was noticed by the locals first. They were found in Kalipur Beach, Lamiya Bay in Diglipur and also at Karmatang Beach in Mayabunder.

Port Blair, Jan 13: A cargo dinghy loaded with nearly 500 LPG cylinders had capsized near North Bay in the South Andaman. Sources indicate that the accident took place on 9th Jan 2021. One among the two men onboard had gone missing. It is also learnt that the matter was never communicated to the Indian Coast Guard for SAR Operation and was being handled by the local boatmen and Police. Later the Coast Guard had spotted activities near North Bay and upon intimation to the concerned authorities had been roped in.
