Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 27: Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today felicitated the Officers and men of Indian Coast Guard at Raj Niwas who were part of the Operation which resulted in the seizure of approximately 6000 kgs of illegal drugs from Andaman Sea, one of the biggest drug overhauls in Indian maritime history.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 27: Disputes between House Owners and the Tenants are very common in the Islands and elsewhere in the country. In order to give a protective clout to both house owners and the tenants, the parliament had passed a new regulation in the year 2023. Subsequent to that the Hon'ble President of India had promulgated a Regulation, namely the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Tenancy Regulation, 2023, as notified vide Notification No. CG-DL-E-24112023-250253 dated 24th November 2023. This regulation has been instituted to provide a comprehensive legal framework for tenancy in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, addressing the needs of both residents and tenants.
