Port Blair, Nov. 16: True Vision Foundation celebrated the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru as Children’s Day. To mark the occasion, a cultural event was organized by at Kannada Sangha, Port Blair on 14th November 2021. The Editor-In-Chief, The Echo of India, Mr. Vijay Kumar Roy was the chief guest while Smt Suja Johanson, Teacher DIET was the guest of honour.

Port Blair, Nov. 16: A total of 5,23,731 doses of vaccines have been administered so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,74,603 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 2707 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.

Member of Parliament requests CS to direct ANIIDCO to Bring Vegetables from Mainland India
Port Blair, Nov. 14: Considering the uncontrolled prices vegetables in Andaman Market, which has gone beyond the budget of common Islanders, the Member of Parliament of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to direct ANIIDCO to procure vegetables from Mainland and transport the same to Andaman so that vegetables at affordable rates can be made available in the Andaman market.

The Clerical Cadre Branch of the Non-Gazetted Government Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands condoles the demise of Shri M K Nelson, R/o Austinabad, Retired Assistant Director, A & N Administration. He died in a road accident on 13th November, 2021 at his native place Adoor in Kerala. He was 61. The Association conveys heartfelt condolences at the death of Shri M K Nelson.
