Port Blair, May 22: As part of Island Music Festival, Kala Kendra Society and Department of Art & Culture organized a Patriotic Songs Competition for tourists and visitors in the precincts of the historic National Memorial Cellular Jail, Port Blair on 21st May 2022.

Port Blair, May 22: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary to issue directions to concerned departments to restart water sports activities in Gandhi Park, Port Blair at the earliest. This he said will generate employment opportunities for the unemployed youths in various professional skills. It will also become an added attraction for the visiting tourists and locals.

MV Bharat Seema will sail for Car Nicobar on 24.05.2022 (Tue) at 0900 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 25.05.2022 (Wed) at 1600 Hrs from Car Nicobar.

Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 24.05.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.

Port Blair, May 22: South Zone Cultural Centre (SZCC), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, Thanjavur in collaboration with Kala Kendra Society under the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration is organizing a five-day workshop on Bharatnatyam. The workshop will be conducted by Smti. Subathra G from 27th – 31st May 2022 at Andaman Club, Port Blair.

Port Blair, May 22: Thunderstorm and lightning with gusty wind (40-50 Kmph) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands from 23rd  - 25th May, 2022. Due to squally weather, wind speed exceeding 45 kmph likely to prevail over Andaman sea along and off Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea till 25th May 2022.
