Port Blair, Oct. 13: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to organise an Orientation programme for all newly elected PRI members on the topics of roles and responsibilities of elected representatives.

Port Blair, Oct. 13: Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), Port Blair has been approved 114 MBBS seats by Ministry of Health & Family welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India and Andaman & Nicobar Administration for the academic year 2022-23. NEET-2022 qualified students will be admitted through All India quota counselling and state quota counselling.  Out of total approved 114 seats, 17 seats of All India quota will be filled by online counselling by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and rest of the 97 seats will be admitted under state quota (10 EWS plus 87 Category seat).

Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency reviewed status of vacancies in Andaman and Nicobar Islands alongwith Senior Officials of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Andaman and Nicobar Police and Department of Environment and Forests today at Raj Niwas and directed Time Bound Action Plan to accomplish filling of vacant posts on Mission Mode.
