Port Blair, Dec. 6: Electricity Department, Andaman & Nicobar Islands along with other UTs/States is observing Energy Conservation (EC) Week under the guidance of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) to exhibit wide publicity and create mass awareness in respect of Energy Conservation.

Port Blair, Dec. 6: The Block Level Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (Science Exhibition) 2023 under Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan was held today at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Port Blair. Smt. Sangeeta Chand, Deputy Education Officer, Wimberlygunj as the chief guest inaugurated the Pradarshani in the presence of Shri Gyan Sheel Dubey, Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman, Smti Archana Singh, Vice Principal, GSSS Girls, Smt. Bavani, Vice Principal, GSSS Mohanpura, Head of the Institution, Teachers and students present in the exhibition.

Port Blair, Dec. 6: The District Legal Services Authority, Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be holding National Lok Adalat in the District Court Complex at Port Blair and Sub-Divisional Court Complex at Mayabunder and Circuit Court at Diglipur on Dec. 9. Besides the compoundable nature of cases pending in different courts, disputes at the pre-litigation stage will also be entertained by the National Lok Adalat for disposal upon consensual settlement between the parties.

Port Blair, Dec. 5: In a well appreciated move towards promoting sports, culture and community events, the Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 03.12.2023 inaugurated LED Flood Lights installed at Birdline Playground, Prothrapur, Ward Number 23 under MPLADS funds.

With an aim to engage youths of the region in constructive activities like, sports, cultural activities and promotion of sports and cultural activities in the area, the Member of Parliament had sanctioned the work for installation of LED Flood Lights at Birdline Playground, Prothrapur, Ward Number 23 under MPLADS funds. During the inauguration he urged people of the area specially youths and children to make maximum use of this facility as a large area around Prothrapur does not have such a huge ground with LED flood Lights facilities.
