Port Blair, Jan 27: Indian Coast Guard Region (A&N) is conducting various events for the local populace of the Islands to commemorate 45th Coast Guard Raising Day. As part of celebrations, Headquarters Coast Guard Region (Andaman & Nicobar) conducted Inter School Quiz Competition via digital medium through video conferencing for various schools at Port Blair on 27 Jan 21. The aim of the event was to encourage students to think beyond the textual knowledge, inculcate team spirit and create awareness about the role of Indian Coast Guard in maritime and coastal security of nation by interacting with future generation of India. The event also provided platform to young and bright minds of our schools to know about career opportunities in Indian Coast Guard.

Port Blair, Jan 27: Five officers and personnel of A&N Police have been conferred upon prestigious Police, Fire Service and Home Guard& Civil Defence medals on the occasion of 72^nd Republic Day 2021. The awards were announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs on the eve of the Republic Day.
