Port Blair, March 23: The Employees of Social Welfare Department will be starting Indefinite agitation under the banner of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands from tomorrow (24.03.2021) in front of Directorate of Social Welfare in protest against the non-payment of salary/honorarium to ICDS employees and Anganwadi Workers for the past 07 months.

A two minutes silence was observed to pay homage to freedom fighters.

The Nursing Officer was also felicitated for her dedication by none other than the lone Member of Parliament of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma at a function organised to recognise the contributions of corona warriors.
