Port Blair, March 23: The Employees of Social Welfare Department will be starting Indefinite agitation under the banner of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands from tomorrow (24.03.2021) in front of Directorate of Social Welfare in protest against the non-payment of salary/honorarium to ICDS employees and Anganwadi Workers for the past 07 months.

Port Blair, March 23: The Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Andaman & Nicobar Unit paid tribute to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru at a small programmed organized today in the office of HRS. Shri Venkat Ramana, Vice President of HRS welcomed all members. Shri Rakeshwar Lall spoke about importance of Shaheed Diwas and sacrifice by the heroes which became inspiration for millions of Indian. A two minutes silence was observed to pay homage to freedom fighters.

Governor’s commendation certificate. The Nursing Officer was also felicitated for her dedication by none other than the lone Member of Parliament of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma at a function organised to recognise the contributions of corona warriors.
