Port Blair, Jan 4: Services of natural vegetation are numerous like releasing oxygen, fixing carbon footprints, therapeutic value, bringing rains, arresting soil erosion, facilitating groundwater recharges, providing shelter to a variety of epiflora, fauna, etc. Yuva Bharat Samaj Seva Charitable Trust (YBSSCT) in collaboration with the Forest department organized a tree plantation drive on 03-01-2022 at Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (VKA), Shadipur, Port Blair, wherein apart from the members, children from Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram also participated.

ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder has expressed deep sadness at the passing away of Shri. Sathatar Mondal (age 53), resident of Mithakhari village who breathed his last at PHC Tushnabad. Mr. Halder prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and for giving enough strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Port Blair, Jan 4: In order to curb the spread of COVID positive cases in A&N Islands for the safety of the people the District Administration has imposed Night Curfew from 09 PM to 5 AM. In view of this, this Directorate of Shipping Services has decided to curtail the existing passenger/Vehicle ferry service between Chatham - Bambooflat, Chatham- Dundus Point, Phoenix Bay – Bambooflat/Panighat during night hours. The last passenger/vehicle ferry service will be available for commuters during night hours in the above routes as under:-

ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder has condoled the demise of Mr. Nepal Biswas (age 40), resident of Minibay (Ward no. 16) who breathed his last on Tuesday 4:10 am at G.B Pant Hospital. He prayed to the Almighty for the strength and perseverance of all bereaved family members to get through this difficult time of irreparable loss.
