Diglipur, April 9: The team of PS Diglipur has successfully worked out the sensational murder case of a YouTube reporter and arrested four accused persons. The brief facts of the case are as described below.

A Complaint was lodged on 30/03/2025 by Smti. Debadriti Dey W/o Sahadev Dey R/o R K Gram, Diglipur at PS Diglipur regarding the missing of her husband Sahadev Dey (38) yrs, who was a reporter of the “News Republic Andaman” YouTube channel. Upon receiving the complaint, prompt action was initiated immediately by PS Diglipur and several teams were constituted to trace the missing reporter using technical and human intelligence.

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 9: In line with its unwavering commitment to combat drug-related activities, the Anti-Narcotics Police Station, in coordination with the Police Station Crime & Economic Offence (C&EO) executed a highly successful Anti-Narcotics Operation on 08/04/2025.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a dedicated Police Team from Anti-Narcotics Police Station, led by Inspector Mohmad Sameer, In-Charge, Anti-Narcotics Police Station, with the active support of officers from PS C&EO carried out this operation which included SI Parvash, SI Mohd Rahil Islam, ASI Surya Narayan, ASI Sanjay Yadow, PC Ratan Das, PC M. Raja Rao, PC Nanak Singh, PC Santosh, and PC Bhawani Shankar. The operation was conducted under the overall leadership of Shri Kumar Abhishek, DANIPS, Dy.SP (CID) and Shri Rajnikant Awadhiya, DANIPS, Dy.SP (Narcotics).

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 9: In a major stride towards modernization and transparency in traffic enforcement, the e-Challan system launched by Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency in the Conference Hall of Raj Niwas.

The launch ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Chandra Bhusan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Shri Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, IPS, Director General of Police, and several senior officers and dignitaries from the administration and police department.

Rangat, April 9: In a significant move towards maintaining law and order and ensuring justice, the Police Station Rangat successfully disposed off a total of 30 case properties on April 7, 2025. This disposal included 27 excise case properties and 03 case properties related to Unnatural Deaths (UDFIRs).

The cases which had been under trial were concluded by the Hon’ble Court of Law and the case properties of the said cases were disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the law under the strict supervision of SDPO, Rangat. This action reflects the Police Station’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and streamlining the legal process by eliminating case properties that were no longer required in the said cases.
