Sri Vijaya Puram, March 4: The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs is going to celebrate Women’s Day on Mar. 8 at Netaji Stadium Complex, Sri Vijaya Puram. In this connection, the Department will be organizing various sports competitions for women (Govt. Servant and general public) as per detail given below:
1) Above 18 yrs to Below 40 yrs: 5 A side Football, Volleyball, Badminton (Doubles), Cycling, Athletics (100 mts sprint & 4x100 mts relay and Shot put) and Sack race

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 4: The Directorate of Shipping Services has introduced an additional ferry service to cater to the transportation needs of commuters travelling to and from Little Andaman. Starting March 6, 2025, a Speed Boat service with a capacity of 75-100 passengers will operate on every Thursday. The vessel will depart from Phoenix Bay Jetty at 0615 hours and return to Sri Vijaya Puram the same day, departing at 1300 hours from Little Andaman.

Act 1988 (Act No.59 of 1988) read with Administration’s Notification No./2008/F.No.32-95/2008-TR, dated 10th March, 2008, the District Magistrate, South Andaman has notified for the information of all concerned that the link road in front of Invent Public School, Prothrapur is very narrow and not sufficient for two-way traffic. In the interest of public safety and road efficiency, and taking into account the explicit recommendation of the Traffic Branch, this stretch has been declared as ‘One Way’.
