Sri Vijaya Puram, March 3: The 38th Convocation of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be held on Wednesday, 05th March, 2025 at 11.00 AM. The main function will be held at IGNOU, HQ, New Delhi. The Hon’ble Minister of Education, Govt. of India, Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan, will be the Chief Guest at HQ, New Delhi and deliver the Convocation Address.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 3: As part of Swachhata Green Leaf Rating System (GLRS), Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC) will be conducting the assessment of hotels, resorts, homestays, and hospitality units within urban limits. This initiative promotes sanitation, waste management, and awareness, aligning with the Swachh Bharat Mission and Travel for LiFE Campaign by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation and Ministry of Tourism.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 3: The Department of Posts will be organizing the Universal Postal Union (UPU) International Letter Writing Competition for Young People. The competition is scheduled to be held on 24.03.2025, at the Sri Vijaya Puram Centre. The subject of the competition will be "Imagine you are the ocean. Writing a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you." Children up to the age of 9-15 years as on 31-03-2025 can participate. The composition must be presented in the form of a letter not exceeding 800 words on the given subject. The letter may be written either in English or in any Regional language listed in the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India.
