Kalighat, Sept. 26: On 24.09.2024, Sh. Subhajit Basu, Hon’ble Special Judge under POCSO Act, North and Middle Andaman District, Mayabunder has delivered a significant judgment in the PS Kalighat case FIR No. 15/2023 dated 21.08.2023, U/s 5(j)(ii)(l)/6 of POCSO Act, 2012, sentencing the accused Silas Horow to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment.

The court's decision to impose a 20-year sentence of rigorous imprisonment on Silas Horow reflects the seriousness of the offense and serves as a strong warning against such unacceptable acts. It sends a clear message to society that those who commit crimes against children will be held accountable and faces severe consequences for their actions.
