I deeply condole the sudden demise of Comrade Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary, CPI (M) who passed away on 12.09.2024 afternoon at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi where he was undergoing treatment for respiratory tract infections. He was 72 years. Com. Sitaram Yechury was a Marxist Theoretician as well as a practical leader who led the CPI (M) during the difficult period of the party. It was Comrade Sitaram Yechury along with Com. Prakash Karat who tried to clearly guide the CPI (M) leaders and cadres on the theoretical issues confronting the Communist movement world over following the collapse of USSR and East European socialist countries in the early 1990s.  Com.Sitaram Yechury was a towering personality and one of the most respected leaders in Indian politics. His sudden demise is a great loss not only to the Communist movement but also to all the secular & democratic forces in the country.  His courage and dedication to the cause of Left movement will inspire generations to come.

Port Blair, Sept 13:  Chinmaya Mission Port Blair will be organizing Shrimad Bhagwat Gyan Yagna Saptah (katha) from September 17 to September 24, 2024 during Pitru Paksh fortnight at Mission Auditorium. The Katha will be held from 4.30 pm to 8 pm every day. On the first day of Katha i.e. on 17th September 2024 a Kalash Yatra will be taken out from Gandhi Park to Mission at 4.30 pm. The devotees who are interested in Participating Kalsha yatra are requested to reach Gandhi Park on September 17 at 4.15 pm.
