Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 4: ICAR-CIARI celebrated "Agriculture Education Day" on December 3, 2024, in honor of the birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. In line with this celebration, ICAR-CIARI organized a series of events for school students from December 2 to December 3, 2024. A total of 37 students from grades 5 to 8 participated in painting competition on the theme "Showcase the Charm and Beauty of Rural Landscapes and Farming Life," representing 12 different schools. The participating institutions included Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Port Mout, Khalsa Public School, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ummat Public School, Middle Point, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Navy Children School, Mahatma Gandhi International School, and Saraswati Shishu Mandir Senior Secondary School, along with St. Mary's School, Government Demonstration Multipurpose School, and Nirmala Senior Secondary School.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 4: As part of the Civil Accounts Day celebrations, the Chief Pay and Accounts Office, in collaboration with the Staff Council of the Pay and Accounts Organisation, organized a Blood Donation Camp in the office's Conference Hall on 4th December 2024 at 10:00 AM. This initiative exemplified the organization’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and community service.

Sri Vijaya Puarm, Dec. 3: The Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, today virtually inaugurated the e-Corner at Katchal, Chowra and Teressa Island of Nancowrie group of Islands, marking a significant milestone in the implementation of online services in the remote Islands. Ms. Jyoti Kumari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobars was also present. Shri Aditya Sangotra, Assistant Commissioner, Nancowrie, SRO Teressa, SRO Katchal also attended the inauguration ceremony, along with other line Departments and local residents of the respective Islands.

The award has been conferred upon for maintaining environmental harmony and setting a benchmark for sustainable coastal tourism.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 3: A day long training program was conducted in the Conference Hall of AYUSH Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram for Medical Officers’ on Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI), Surveillance & Response: Operational Guidelines -2024 today. The program was jointly organized by WHO, UNDP, NHM and Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Anil Agarwal, Secretary (Health), A&N Administration as chief guest in the presence of Dr. Suja Antony, Director (Health), Dr. Subhodeep Bhuiyan, Consultant WHO along with officials from UNDP and DHS.
