Port Blair, June 20: The District Administration continuing with its efforts to provide relief and assistance to the people during the pandemic has taken various pro-active steps to ensure that people feel secure and safe. In this connection the District Administration distributed ration kits at Hopetown, Calicut and Attampahad and also took measures to address the problems of general public.

Port Blair, June 20: To streamline the reporting and evaluation of MGNREGA Scheme as well as to ensure smooth fund flow mechanism to bring down delay in payment of wages to the beneficiaries, with the continuous efforts of the Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs (State Nodal Department of MGNREGA), the Ministry of Rural Development has shifted the Nicobar District from offline mode of MIS (Monitoring and Information System) to online mode.

Port Blair, June 18: The District Magistrate (SA) Shri Suneel Anchipaka along with SDM (SA), AC(U/T), Director (Health), Director (RD) and Dy.SP made a visit to Little Andaman to tackle the prevailing COVID situation. Director (RD) and Dy.SP has been deputed to ensure strict monitoring of containment zone in the island and also a community medicine expert is assigned to address the health care requirements of COVID patients in Little Andaman.
