Port Blair, Feb. 11: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 246 passengers who arrived here yesterday, 1 positive case has been detected. Today, 10 flights with 1330 passengers arrived, out of which, 1114 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 198 passengers (11foreign travellers) and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Feb 11: The Term End Examination for December 2021 of Indira Gandhi National Open University is going to commence from 4th March, 2022 and will conclude on 9th April, 2022. In A&N Islands, the IGNOU conducts exams at 6-locations, namely: JNRM,-Port Blair (Ph. No.03192-237078), Hut Bay (03192-284300), Car Nicobar (Ph No. 03193-265037), Kamorta (03192-263225) Campbell Bay (Ph. No.03193-264307) and Mayabunder (Ph. No. 03193-276462). All exam centres are functional IGNOU Study Centre. No exams are scheduled on Sundays. The exam timings are: 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM.

Port Blair, Feb 11: Lots of queries and applications for permission of flags and stickers to be mounted on vehicle have been received by the Office of the Director Panchayat and Municipal Election, Port Blair.
The issue has been examined and it was decided that each candidate shall inform to the concerned Returning Officer about the vehicle with registration details to be used by him/her for election purpose. A copy of such information shall necessarily be displayed in the windshield of the vehicle.

Chennai, Feb 11: Ambassador Kelly Keiderling, the U.S. State Department’s South and Central Asian Affairs Bureau Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, formally launched the Indo-Pacific Circle (IPC), a regional network of early and mid-career scholars working on issues concerning the Indo-Pacific, in a virtual event (Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZCoHQmoTL0) on Thursday, February 10. An initiative of the New Delhi-based Council for Strategic and Defense Research (CSDR) and Centre for Policy Research (CPR), this network will facilitate and advocate for a deeper understanding of the perspectives on a free and open Indo-Pacific.

(i) Candidates are required to submit information before the RO regarding details of vehicles proposed to be used in writing.
(ii) External modification of vehicles including fitting of Loudspeaker thereon, would be subject to the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act/Rules and any other Local Act/Rules. Vehicles with modifications and special campaign vehicles like Video Rat etc. can be used only after obtaining the requisite permission from the competent authorities under the Motor Vehicles Act.
