Port Blair, Aug. 30: As approved by the Pondicherry University, it has been decided to grant two additional chances in the examinations to be held in Nov/Dec, 2022 and April/May 2023 session to all the UG/PG students of JNRM admitted from the Academic Year 2006-07 to 2015-16 who could not complete the courses within the maximum duration prescribed in the respective regulations. The additional chance given for Nov/Dec, 2022 is already over. The students who have applied for April/May 2023 session, the exam is going to be held shortly and Pondicherry University has now given a chance to the concerned students to appear in the said exam.

Port Blair, Aug. 30: Due to insufficient booking of passenger tickets, the vessel Nalanda which was scheduled to sail for Kolkata via Mayabunder on 05.09.2023 from Port Blair and her return voyage from Kolkata to Port Blair via Mayabunder on 11.09.2023 has been cancelled. Passengers those who have purchased their tickets for the above sailings have been informed to cancel their tickets and get full refund.

Port Blair, Aug. 30: The vessel MV Swaraj Dweep will sail from Port Blair to Vizag tomorrow (Aug.31) at 1000 hrs. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 0800 hrs on 31.08.2023 and will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.

Port Blair, Aug. 30: Due to technical reasons, the scheduled sailing programme of the vessel MV Campbell Bay for Little Andaman on 31.08.2023 at 0700 Hrs from Port Blair and her return voyage on 01.09.2023 at 0700 Hrs from Little Andaman has been cancelled.

However, to facilitate the commuters of Little Andaman, the Directorate of Shipping Services has scheduled the sailing programme of the vessel Nalanda to sail for Little Andaman on 31.08.2023 at 2100 hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Port Blair on 01.09.2023 at 0800 Hrs from Little Andaman.

Port Blair, Aug. 30: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) and thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (speed 30-40 kmph) is likely to occur at one or two places over A & N Islands on Aug. 31. Heavy to very heavy rain (07-20 cm) is also likely to occur at one or two places over A & N Islands on Sept. 1, 2 &3.
