Rangat, Nov. 1: In response to credible information regarding illegal gambling activities in Sitapur, Rangat. PS Rangat team led by SI Madhab Halder and included SI Abdul Sajeed, HCs Paresh Chandra Das, D. Rushkeshwar Rao, and PC Yashwant Rao conducted a raid at Sitapur, Rangat, aimed at maintaining public order and safety.

During the raid, police found ten individuals engaged in illegal gambling. The raid resulted in the apprehension of these individuals, along with the seizure of two packets of playing cards and Rs. 31,330/- in stake money. Further, during personal search of the apprehended individuals led to the recovery of an additional Rs. 20,250/-, totalling Rs. 51,580/- recovered during the operation.

Power supply will remain suspended at Tiger Feeder: Sippighat, Dhanikhari, Chouldari, Port Mout, Ograbraj, Tushnabad to Tirur, Namunaghar to Dandus Point on Nov. 2 from 7 am to 1 pm in connection with HT line clearance work & maintenance of 33KV Distribution Transformer under Chouldhari Sub-Division.

Similarly, power supply will also remain suspended at Lamba Line, Dairy Farm and Airport area on Nov. 2 from 8 am to 4 pm due to precautionary isolation of underground power cables during undertaking the repair of pipeline at Lamba Line, opposite Hotel Divyum by APWD.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 1: Jt. Controller of Defence Accounts (Area Accounts Office) is organizing SPARSH Outreach Programme from Nov.1 to 30, 2024 from 9 am to 4 pm near Ayyappa Temple, Buniyadabad. This programme is designed to assist Defence Pensioners, Civilian Pensioners and Family Pensioners, whose Pension have been migrated to the new SPARSH Module.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 30: The Food Safety Department has taken swift action on receipt of an information regarding rat infestation of cakes and sweet items being exhibited for sale in a restaurant situated at Bathu Basthi, Sri Vijaya Puram. The Food Safety Officials conducted an inspection of the food business premises and noticed significant violations of Food Safety and Standards Act 2006, Rules and Regulations 2011. Proper pest control measures were not carried out by the Food Business Operator as a result pest/rodent activities were found inside the food business premise.
