Port Blair, July 20: In order to carry out preventive routine maintenance work on board vehicle ferry vessels, the vehicle ferry services between Chatham and Dunduspoint shall be withdrawn for two days with effect from 21.07.2020. All commuters have been requested to cooperate and plan their journey accordingly. Inconvenience caused to commuters is regretted, said the Dy. Director (Shipping Services), in a communication.

Port Blair, July 19: An unidentified partially decomposed body of a male was found on 12/07/2020 at Attam Pahar Jungle. The dead body is kept at mortuary of G.B. Pant Hospital as no relative or guardian has so far claimed it for last rites and could not be identified so far. In this connection a UDFIR vide no. 28/20 dated 12/07/2020 U/s 174 CrPC has been registered at PS Pahargaon.

Port Blair, July 19: ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair has organized Field day and awareness programme on fodder production on 18th July, 2020 under National Academy of Science, India (NASI) Programme. A total of 8 Nicobari rural youths and farmers from Nicobar group of islands and 2 farmers from South Andaman District were trained through filed visits, lectures, practical demonstration and hands on training on fodder production at the Division of animal Sciences.
