Port Blair, Sept. 9: In the line of Atma Nirbhar Bharat campaign and implementation of PM SAVNidhi scheme, Certificates of Vending (CoV) were distributed to 44 Nos. Street Vendors of Port Blair City today by the Port Blair Municipal Council at a function organized at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium, Port Blair. The Chairperson, PBMC Shri.N.K.Udhya Kumar graced the occasion alongwith Shri. Abhisekh Dev, IAS Secretary (UD), Smti. Anjali Sherawat, IAS, Secretary PBMC and Shri. Port Blair, Sept. 9: Debutant writer G. Mehul Krishna Kumar on Wednesday released the cover of his upcoming book ‘Lucid Dreams- Let’s Redefine Love’ on instagram. The cover depicts the title in a spectacular way followed by the art portrayal of a man on the wheel chair and a lady by his side, the man is holding something in his hand and it will be interesting to find what it is! The background shows a tree of hearts which clearly signifies that the tale is all about love.

Port Blair, Sept. 9: The State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Ajoy Bairagi is on an official visit to North and Middle Andaman. Bairagi will first halt at Diglipur for a few days after which he will undertake visits to other areas of North & Middle Andaman viz. Rangat and Mayabunder. During his visit, the BJP State President will interact with the general public. The General Public has been requested to contact their local BJP unit to know he schedule of the visit of the State President.

Kamorta, Sept. 8: As many as six corona positive cases have been confirmed in the tribal belt of Central Nicobars. According to sources, the Assistant Commissioner and his spouse, Chief of Tribal Council, a staff of Assistant Commissioner’s office and a villager from Chota Enaka village have tested positive. Earlier one case of COVID-19 was shifted to Port Blair for treatment, making it a total of six confirmed cases.
