Port Blair, Nov. 22: In one of the rare incident that took place, a pregnant lady gave birth to a girl child inside MV Coral Queen, which was sailing from Hut Bay to Port Blair. The delivery took place on 21st Nov. 2020 after the vessel had set for sail at 2330 hrs.

Port Blair, Nov. 22: With an effort to promote the local young Nicobarese talents, Mr. Ebrahim Jadwet organized a program for Doordarshan Kendra Port Blair, where the young tribal lads got an opportunity to showcase their talents in vocal singing and guitar. It was on social media that Mr. Jadwet found these talents and felt it is essential to promote them and motivate them.

Port Blair, Nov. 22: As part of the “Prashasan Aapke Dwaar” initiative, under the aegis of the District Administration, South Andaman, revenue camp courts were held by Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman in the Community Hall, Ograbraj, Gram Panchayat Mithakhari and at the Community Hall, Calicut Gram Panchayat. Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, SDM (SA) and other officers of the District Administration and line departments attended the camp court.

Port Blair, Nov. 20: Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party had taken up the issue of non-availability of Veterinary Medicines at Andaman & Nicobar Islands especially in the remote regions of the Islands, where farmers are suffering since long, due to the non-availability of Veterinary Medicines. The matter was taken up with the Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
