Port Blair, Jan 11: A seven days training on “Scientific Beekeeping” was organized by ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair, sponsored by National Bee Board, Department of Agriculture Cooperation & farmers welfare, Govt. of India.  The programme started on 04th January 2022, benefitting twenty five farmers and farm women.

Port Blair, Jan 11: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration has revised Minimum Wages across Andaman & Nicobar Islands w.e.f 1st January 2022. The latest rates are:-

Unskilled: Rs. 507/-

Semi-Skilled/ Unskilled Supervisory: Rs. 564/-

Port Blair, Jan 11: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 5, 99, 400 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 16,249 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years against the target beneficiaries of 23,000. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine today stood at 885.

Port Blair, Jan. 11: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 308 passengers who arrived here yesterday, 16 positive cases have been detected. Today, 14 flights with 951 passengers arrived, out of which, 702 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 246 passengers (includes 10 foreign travelers) and the reports are awaited.
