Port Blair, March 4: In terms of the provisions contained under Section 135C of the Representation of the People Act 1951 and read with Rule 86 of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Excise Regulation 2012, Hon'ble Lt  Governor, Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has ordered that ‘Dry Days’ have to be observed from March 4 (from 7 PM onwards) to Mach 6 on the day of Polling and March 8 on the day of counting.

Port Blair, March 4: All the beneficiaries who are willing to get administered with COVID-19 vaccination have been informed that due to the scheduled General Elections to Panchayat & Municipal Council, the COVID-19 Vaccination Center at JNRM will remain closed for two days i.e. on March 5 & 8, 2022 due to administrative reasons.

Port Blair, March 4: The vessel MV Campbell Bay is scheduled to sail from Chennai to Port Blair on 08.03.2022 at 1600 Hrs and advance reservation of tickets for the above voyage has already been commenced from 01.03.2022.

In pursuance of the guidelines issued by MoH&FW / MHA on risk assessment based approach and subsequent directives from the A &N Administration the following SOP shall be followed for the passengers travelling onboard vessel MV Campbell Bay from Chennai.

Port Blair, March 4: For pre-poll preparation, only those schools in which Polling Stations have been fixed for Panchayat and Municipal Election shall remain closed on March 5, 2022. All Zonal Officers have been directed to disseminate it to concerned schools where Polling Stations have been fixed for Panchayat and Municipal Election for immediate information.

Port Blair, March 4: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,07,989 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly,23,201 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 8844.
