Port Blair, March 6: The District Child Protection Unit (SA) under District Administration conducted a workshop on Career Counselling by Dr Mithesh Behari, Psychiatrist Health for you Multi Speciality Centre.

The District Child Protection Officer (SA) initiated the program with welcome speech and introduced Dr Mithesh Behari (Psychiatrist) to the children.

Port Blair, March 5: This is to inform to the passengers/general public that due to Administrative reasons the scheduled departure time of the vessel MV Coral Queen for Campbell Bay & Nancowry on 06.03.2021 at 0800 Hrs has been revised. Now, the vessel will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on the same day at 2000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 1800 Hrs. onwards on 06.03.2021.

Inconvenience caused to the passengers is regretted.

Port Blair, March 3: The Andaman Mopla Service Organization (AMSO) in a Cultural Exchange Programme held in the conference hall of Hotel Marina Manor, Junglighat, Port Blair hosted a group of Keralites from different social backgrounds led by Dr. Bobby Chemmannur, renowned Philanthropist and Businessman and Er. TPM Hashir Ali, International Tour Operator.

Shri N. Yusuf, President, AMSO welcoming the delegates, spoke briefly on the history of Moplahs in the Islands and their association with Kerala. He reminisced the struggle and hardships faced by the Mopla Freedom Fighters firstly by the Britishers and later by the Japanese Army during India's freedom struggle.

Port Blair, March 4: As a part of FSSAI initiative of Eat Right India movement, the Food Safety Department organized a Food Licensing and Registration Mela at Bathu Basthi, for the benefit of Food Business operators of the locality. About 73 Food business operators of the adjoining areas visited the mela. The theme of the mela was to facilitate new FBOs in obtaining license/registration certificates through the online portal of FSSAI. Food Safety Officers explained in detail about the procedures for uploading online applications, documents which are required to be uploaded along with License/Registration application form. Remittance of License fee through online were also explained in detail to the visitors. Nine Registration Certificates and one License were issued on the spot to the applicants.
