Port Blair, Feb 28: In continuation of its ClothShare initiative, a free Cloth distribution program was organised by Humane Touch at ShorePoint village on 28th February 2020 at 9:30 am.

The program started with the address of K Naushad Ali  , Executive Member , Humane Touch who welcomed the gathering and  briefed about various social and public issues taken up by the organization. Shri P Mujeeb Rehman, President Humane Touch highlighted the importance of Clotheshare program and about the achievements of this initiative.

Port Blair, Feb 27: The Hon'ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, accompanied by the First Lady of India, Shrimati Savita Kovind arrived to a warm welcome in Swaraj Dweep today (Feb. 27). They were received by the Lt Governor, A&N Islands & Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), as soon as they alighted from defence helicopter at Swaraj Dweep helipad.

New Delhi, Feb 26: The 26th of February, 2021, Friday proved to be a historical day with the launch of India’s first National Resource Center on Human Trafficking (NRCHT) at the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU). In furtherance of the MoU signed between the Indian Police Foundation (IPF) and this Institution of National Importance, RRU. Calling for collective solidarity against human trafficking, the NRCHT aims to stand as the central resource base of real time facts and figures about anti human trafficking activities across India.

Port Blair, Feb 26: Four youths of the islands were today felicitated for their act of honesty, which proved the true spirit of mini India where humanity matters more than anything. The youths were felicitated by Shri Radheed, Social Worker who presented a certificate of appreciation and a memento.
