Registers 41 Cases, Arrests 62 and seize 294 Kg of Methamphetamine & 59 Kgs of Illicit Ganja
Port Blair, Nov. 3: Andaman & Nicobar Police stands firmly with its “zero tolerance policy on drugs” and has been waging battles against this menace aiming to eradicate the illegal trade of drug peddling from this Union Territory. Acting tough on the Narcotic drug peddlers, A& N Police with its continuous efforts succeeded to arrest 62 drug peddlers and registered 41 cases throughout the Islands with seizure of 294.086 kg methamphetamine,58.827 Kg illicit Ganja, 675 tablets, 13 nos. cinnabars, 92 nos. codeine cough syrup bottles which are worth in crores.

Recruitment of Pharmacists Expected Soon, Informs Dr. Omkar Singh
Port Blair, Nov. 3: A delegation of the team Indian Pharmacist Association (IPA) led by its National President, Shri. Abhay Kumar met Dr. Omkar Singh, Director of Health Services in his chamber today and handed over 21 Pulse Oxymeters. The team also handed over a letter with the request for early recruitment of Pharmacist under DHS.

Port Blair, Nov. 3: In a function held at Beodnabad Panchayat Hall, the Deputy Commissioner (SA), Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS along with the SDM, Tehsildar, BDO and other staff distributed Land License to the beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin). The scheme was launched to address the housing gaps existing in the rural areas. PMAY(G) aims to provide pucca houses with basic facilities along with a hygienic kitchen to those living in kutcha houses. The houses built under the PMAY (G) scheme, are low-cost and disaster-resilient.
