Port Blair, July 11: Van Mahotsav is an annual pan-Indian tree planting festival, occupying a week in the month of July. During this event millions of trees are planted. In the same context, Coastal Green Zone celebrated "Van Mahotsav 2021"  along with Middle Andaman Forest Division, Rangat Range on 9th July 2021, with great energy and enthusiasm near Sabri Junction forest area.

Port Blair, July 11: The Indian Red Cross Society, North & Middle Andaman today reached out with relief materials for poor, marginalized, downtrodden and disabled people of Billiground area in coordination with Hindu Rastra Shakti.

As many as 150 Red Cross Printed Face Mask,  Soaps, Sarees and 150 Ars alb 30 Homoeo Immune Booster Medicine were distributed amongst the most economically depressed windows and other economically suffered women during the Covid Pandemic.

Port Blair, July 9: On 8th July, 2021 at about 2125 hrs, an information was received at PS Aberdeen that two persons were lying unconscious in a pool of blood in the Gandhi Market complex. On this, a team of PS Aberdeen rushed to the spot and identified the two persons as Shankar @ Chennai Mistry, (45)yrs, an Auto Mechanic based at Gandhi market and K. Arumugam S/o Kali Kujan (40)yrs, R/o Brookshabad. The crime scene was secured and all the evidences were lifted and seized scientifically. Then, a key evidence in the form of CCTV footage was obtained from a nearby shop. Acting swiftly on this lead, multiple search teams were formed to nab the accused.
