Port Blair, Aug 31: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has mourned the sad demise of Bharat Ratna Shri Pranab Mukherjee. Kamorta, Aug 30: Two persons have been tested positive for Novel Corona Virus at Kamorta Island, headquarter of the Central Nicobar islands. According to reports the test were done using Rapid Testing method in which Rev. Fabian of Chota Enaka village and the spouse of the Assistant Commissioner of Nancowry were tested positive.

Port Blair, Aug 30: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration has started a vigorous campaign to ensure the welfare of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) of Andaman Islands. As claimed by the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in it its official mouthpiece, ‘The Daily Telegrams’, as a proactive measure the Jarawa were shifted to the West Coast while the Great Andamanese were shifted to Strait Island when the Corona pandemic broke in the islands. Convoys on the ATR has also been restricted to ensure the safety of the Jarawa community, while field functionaries have been regularly advised to interact with tribals with face mask, gloves and keeping distance.

Port Blair, Aug 30: Central Crime Station police in its continuous efforts to crackdown on bootlegging, illegal and spurious liquors, strikes hard against bootleggers and conducted a Jungle search operation at Hazaribagh jungle Ferrargunj area.
