Port Blair, July 15: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 2, 48, 150 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2, 81, 603 (approx.). A total of 4021 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands. A total of 65,658 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.

Port Blair, July 15: On 13/07/2021, at about 1400 hrs, a special jungle and creek search has been conducted at Hasmatabad seashore by the police personnel of PS Humfrygunj comprising with SI Anik Das, SHO PS Humfrygunj alongwith HC/2336 Bijoy Sarkar, HC/762 Abdul Basir, PC/2449 Florence Barla, PC/1571 Ignacius Kujur, PC/1102 Sankar Aind, PC/2647 Auragnzeb Ahmed and HC/827 Pratap Tigga (PMF).

Port Blair, July 15: The hardship faced the people of our islands due to the lockdown and unemployment has led people to starve without food for days. When families residing near KV 1 and Namunaghar approached Shri Mandeep Grewal, President, PBGKR, a team headed by Shri Gurmeet Singh, Gen. Secretary, PBGKR provided around ration kits to around 60 families.

It is informed to the general public that a dead body of a deceased namely G. Shankar @ Chennai Misty S/o Late G. Ganeshan, Pvt Worker R/o Gandhi market of crime No. 79/21 dated 08/07/2021 u/s 302 IPC of PS Aberdeen, has been kept at the cold mortuary of G.B. Pant Hospital. The dead body of the deceased is preserved for identification. The descriptive role of the deceased is Height: 5 feet 6 inch, Complexion: Shallow, Hair: Black, Body: Thin, Identification marks: A black mole on the right side of stomach.

Port Blair, July 15: The Pondicherry University examinations of Four Years Integrated Programme which were earlier scheduled on 13th, 14th and 15th July 2021 at Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair will now be held on 19th, 20th and 22nd July 2021 respectively. However, there is no change in the examinations scheduled on 16th and 17th of July 2021.
