Port Blair, June 28: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per the data received from Health Department, a total of 1,67,029 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. A total of 4761 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands while the number of eligible people vaccinated in the age group of 18 to 44 years stood at 44,158 in isles.

He died at GB Pant Hospital during the early hours today (28-06-2021).He was 61.He was a popular students union leader during his college days at Shimla University, Himachal Pradesh. Port Blair, June 27: The District Administration South Andaman has been conducting random RAT Screening in different corners of the district. The RAT screening has showed very promising results with zero positive corona cases.
Accordingly, on 23rd June 2021, RAT screening was conducted at Manglutan and Humphreygunj areas in which out of 100 tests, zero positive cases were detected.

Lockdown to Continue in South Andaman till 6th July
Port Blair, June 28: The District Magistrate South Andaman today issued an Order No. 803 directing that the lockdown being imposed in the district of South Andaman will continue for another one week commencing from 29th June 2021 till 6th July 2021.
In the new guidelines the District Magistrate has relaxed the timings for essential and non-essential businesses on all days from the earlier 6.00 am to 1.00 pm to 6.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Port Blair, June 27: Nayan Sarkar was arrested as an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh, U/s 14 Foreigners Act read with sections 465/468/471/120(B) IPC on 07.05.2021 by CCS Police Station. He had come to India on a Bangladeshi Passport and Visa on 02.11.2015 and had become illegal immigrant after expiry of his visa. As an illegal immigrant he had acquired Indian identity documents like PAN card, Aadhar card, birth certificate.
