Sri Vijaya Puram, April 15: The District Administration has taken serious note of an incident of unauthorized dumping of loose earth in the Garacharma village area near Apollo Clinic during the night hours. A field report received by the District Control Room indicated suspicious movement in the locality. In response, a team of Revenue Officials was swiftly deployed to investigate the matter.

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 13: The ANC–ANA Half Marathon 2025 was successfully conducted on 13 April 2025 at Netaji Stadium, Sri Vijaya Puram, marking a major milestone in promoting fitness, camaraderie, and tourism in the Islands. The event was jointly organised by the Andaman & Nicobar Command (ANC) and the Andaman & Nicobar Administration (ANA) as part of their shared commitment to the Fit India Movement and the growth of sports tourism in the region.

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 15: The State Institute of Education (SIE), Shiksha Sadan, Sri Vijaya Puram in collaboration with Central Hindi Institute of Education, Hyderabad is conducting a ten days workshop from April 15 to 26, 2025 at GSS, Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram. Altogether 49 participants from 9 Educational Zones are attending the programme. The workshop focuses on Capacity Building on Competency Based Learning Outcomes and the Renewal Curriculum based on NCF 2023 for GTT (Hindi).

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 13: To commemorate the 134th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, a solemn and spirited ‘Jai Bhim Padyatra’ was organized today by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, A & N Administration in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sri VIjaya Puram.
Shri Gyan Sheel Dubey, Deputy, HoO, Directorate of Education flagged off the event from the historic National Memorial Cellular Jail as the chief guest in the presence of Officers and Youth leaders.
