Order Comes With Clarity and Relief for Businesses Which are Allowed to Operate
Port Blair, May 3: The District Magistrate, South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS had partially modified the earlier Order No. 606, wherein businesses apart from those permitted to operate were asked to close down. There remained a confusion in the minds of people regarding timings, in-situ works, operation of godowns etc. which the District Magistrate has cleared today.

Anchipaka Calls Upon People to Report Symptoms if any For Early COVID Treatment
Port Blair, May 3: Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner (SA) and other officers of Administration inspected Institutional quarantine facility at ITI Dollygunj. They also visited Old Pahargaon area to check the arrangements being made by the officials of the different department to contain the movement of home quarantined people which has been declared as a Containment zone.

Uday Shankar Singh, State Media Convenor, BJP, A&N Islands who passed away on 02.05.2021. May the Almighty give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.

Port Blair, May 3: The members of Favorz Andaman led by Tanmay Mallick, Faiz Asif and Mohan Lal today voluntarily sanitized the Police Station Aberdeen. The permission to sanitize the station was granted by ASP Shri Kalavanna, IPS. Earlier the team members met the Deputy Commissioner South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka and extended their full cooperation and support for the sanitization drive. The DC suggested to target the most populated and crowded places like markets, which is the need of the hour.
Team Favorz Andaman will be continuing such drives in future and has extended their gratitude to the DC (SA) for his support and initiatives to contain the pandemic.

DC South Andaman Appeals to Islanders to Come Forward and Report Symptoms for the Safety of All
Port Blair, May 2: A message broke on twitter today stating that staying at home was not a safer zone for Late. N. Zubaidha, W/o Ali Hajee, R/o Kanyapuram. It was alleged that Zubaidha was under hone quarantine with symptoms as no RTPCR test was done beside several request. She felt breathlessness and was rushed to PHC Wimberlygunj where she took her last breath.
